2012 Ultrafast Imaging of Matter
This conference is held roughly every three years. It focuses on novel techniques of imaging molecules, for example attosecond sources and free electron laser sources. The conference was previously held in Italy in 2009, and in London in 2006.
For 2012, it will be located at the Banff Centre, a venue designed to "enhance creativity and knowledge through arts and culture". Nevertheless, they also welcome scientists. The Banff Centre is located in Banff National Park, in the heart of the Rocky Mountains.
The conference will have a Gordon Conference format, with sessions in the morning and evening, leaving the afternoons open for outings and discussions. The oral sessions will largely be composed of invited presentations, with some upgraded presentations. Contributed posters will be shown after the evening sessions.
